                      PALLAS ATHENA (minerva)

She was the daughter of Zeus alone, no mother bore her. She sprang from Zeus's head.        
protector of civilized life, handicrafts and agriculture.
She was Zeus's favorite child. One of the three virgin goddesses, she was the chief.
Zeus trusted her to carry the awful aegis, his buckler, and his devastating weapon, the thunderbolt.
Athens was her special city; the Olive created by her, the owl was her bird.
