  A nereid, the quenn of the seas, usually decipted with her husband, Poseidon.

NEREUS:

 Protector of sailors, son of Gaea and Pontus

NEREIDS:

 Beautiful virgins, daughters of Nereus and Dois

 SIRENS:

Half-women, half-bird, sometimes half fish-halfwomen

CHARYBDIS:

 A sea monsterb living under the rocks, Poseidon's daughter.

Poseidon trusted her and gave so much lands to her, 

Zeus changed her to a whirpool.
